Virtual Meetups: Overview

The Ohio Department of Education is scheduling virtual meetups in collaboration with various professional organizations across the state to support administrators and educators in each content area during the ordered school-building closure. The purpose of the forum is to support educators and provide a platform to network, share and gain new skills or strategies to help students succeed while learning remotely.This aligns with the vision of Ohio’s Strategic Plan for Education, Each Child, Our Future, which focuses on the whole child by empowering teachers to help students become resilient, lifelong learners who contribute to society. The virtual meetups will help facilitate discussions about equitable learning opportunities and practices for each child while partnering with educators and professional organizations to promote quality schools and student success.The Department will host the meetups in conjunction with guest facilitators sponsored by professional organizations. Virtual Meetups: Computer Science and Technology

The Ohio Department of Education announces additional virtual computer science and technology meetings for anyone interested in learning from other Ohio educators on ways they are supporting their students during this time of remote learning.
